My Tribute to Track Media!

News and coverage of Track & Field Events has been incredible! This is thanks -- in a large part -- to the great internet sources that have developed over the years and to some very loyal supporters in the traditional media!

Here is our hardworking Sports Information Director LeeAnne Sears!

LeeAnne works hard with the Media to bring out the best in all of us! She provides the local and national media outlets with everything including her home phone number! That's what makes her a  GATOR GREAT !

Thank you, LeeAnne,
from all of us! -Karen:)

To all of our friends in the media, on campuses and to the many t&f web sites popping up everywhere,!

THANK YOU for all you do! :)  We have a great sport, and we need to get the word out.

Donna and John Dye with Karen Freberg at National Scholastic  Here are the famous Donna & John Dye of DYESTAT with me at the National Scholastic Indoor Championship in New York my senior year in high school (2001).

Mr. Dye started a results site for Maryland track as his successful children started their climb up the ladder!  From this humble start of making lists came the site that we all know and love: DYESTAT.COM!

I had a chance to visit with Mr. Dye at the NCAA Eastern Regionals in Virginia. It was fun to see him again, not in the role of a media guru, but as a proud dad cheering on his daughter in the pole vault!

Natalie Dye jumped 12-06.25 for 4th and a birth in the NCAA Finals!

See ya' in Sacramento!

CONGRATULATIONS--Karen:)

For throwers... here's a great site: Tony Dziepak's The Thrower's Page.  Tony ranks Florida throwers as the #1 program in the country.  We also love the instant world results, progressions, and other cool data posted by Mirko Jalava at Tilastopaja oy.

It wouldn't be fair if we left out my favorite Hometown reporter, Dan Ruthemeyer, who covers track and field for the San Luis Obispo Tribune in California! Dan continues to cover track with enthusiasm!
