The Shot Put

Florida dominated the shot put, garnering 31 out of 37 possible points while taking 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th.  This was the last throwing event of the day, and we were all pretty tired!

Merilyn added her name to the list of Lady Gators who have already reached the NCAA Regional Qualifying standard--that makes five of us in this event so far.  Congratulations, Merilyn!  Scarlett gets closer to the RQ every week!  Three inches, Scarlett!  You can do this!

This was my first trip to the University
of South Carolina
.

Winners of each event (I won the shot) got a new folding chair with a cooler underneath.  I need this!

Coach Judge was more than a little worried about my performance in the shot today when he saw my impressive (!!!) 50 foot warmups.  I'm not sure where the 54 came from--it was my last throw, too.

My legs feel like they used to when my Dad made me do squat burnouts!  Three events in one day takes a little getting used to, I think. Hey, but I love doing multiple events!!!!
