This issue of K-Mail covers the SEC Quad Meet, held at the University of South Carolina on April 5th.  South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt competed at the Weems Baskin Track & Field facility in Columbia, SC.

Hey, you don't have to call me 'Multiple-Mac" quite yet, but I am getting there! I scored 18 points in this meet and am I pumped! I now have qualified for NCAA Regionals in three events: SHOT , DISCUS and HAMMER!

The Lady Gators won the meet with 228 points to South Carolina's 218.5.  Every point counted!  The throwers contributed 100 points in 4 events:  31 in the shot, 23 in the discus, 36 in the hammer, and 10 in the javelin (Dore' took 3rd and Erin took one throw to grab the points for 5th place).  We almost swept the hammer--taking places 1 through 7.  Jukina set both the track and meet records with her seasonal best 204-04!  We're looking good going into the conference meet.

The weather was just a little bit challenging....
I had to wear my sunglasses during the hammer to keep the rain out of my eyes!

All of us squished under the tent trying to
stay as dry as possible.

This was also the first time I've ever thrown three events in one day!  We started off with the hammer at 10:30, then the discus was supposed to go at 2pm, but was delayed a bit.  We moved immediately from the discus to the shot, and finished up around 5:30.  Whew!

Okay, back by popular demand, some REAL K-Mail food pictures.  According to our loyal readers, rice cakes apparently do NOT count as food!

Hmmm, what's in this box?
from Coach?

Oooooh.....Krispy Kreme Donuts.....
no, Coach, I didn't have one!

Pizza! Pizzzzzza!!!
Well, I did have some of this.....
but I think I worked it off today!

After the meet, the University of South Carolina hosted all of us for a yummy barbeque, but I was too tired to take any more pictures!  Thanks USC!!!! We really appreciate it!
