In this edition, we bring you the
results of the Alex Wilson Invitational at the
University of Notre Dame. We're also going to preview the upcoming
NCAA
Championships, to be held at the University of Arkansas on March 14-15th.
Sorry, we weren't able to get Coach Judge's pictures at press time--his laptop
is getting an upgrade and my camera didn't like his disk. We'll post the
pics when we get them.

Meet at Notre Dame! Merilyn
Scores!
Merilyn had a great meet at the Alex Wilson, finishing 3rd in the weight with a PR of 19.71m/64-8.00. Merilyn's mark moved her from 18th to 10th in the NCAA rankings, and ensured her a spot at the NCAA's. Merilyn joins FOUR other Lady Gators in the NCAA weight throw. That means that 5 out of the top 10 throwers nationally are from FLORIDA!
Quanda finished 2nd in the weight with another automatic qualifying mark of 19.81m/65-00. Unfortunately, the shot putters weren't able to improve their marks enough to gain a spot at the NCAAs, so Florida will be represented by Kim and me. Still, no other school is bringing as many throwers to the NCAA. There are a couple of schools bringing two girls, but that's it.
We're bringing 6 women throwers to the NCAA! Is that cool or what??!!! 21% of the NCAA Throwers are from Florida! (7 out of 33 slots in the throws--Kim is doubling) This doesn't include all the sprinters, jumpers, and runners that are coming, too!
Way to go, Coach Judge!
NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS! let's Ruuuumble!
This will be my fourth visit to the University Of Arkansas's wonderful facility. Those of us who have been here before will be giving support to our team mates who are new to the NCAA experience. It's a great facility, a great ring and an exciting meet!
