Major Milestones

Certainly, graduating from West Point, summertime in Korea, a tour in Iraq and the "Grizzly" Award are all major Milestones in her life, but I left room for some others here.

Kristin assumed her first company command based in Hawaii in April 2006.

Another Milestone I finished is my Masters Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri.   I am always supportive of higher education and am very grateful to the Army for giving me this opportunity!

A major milestone for any Soldier is recognition for a job well done--in this case, promotion!

On November 1st, 2004, I was promoted
to Captain at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Here I am wearing my captain bars
for the first time on my Class A's (greens).

Unfortunately (for me), No pictures exist of my promotion to First Lieutenant back in December 2002.

Hear I am taking my oath at West Point.
No longer just a Cadet, I was becoming a Second Lieutenant...from the top of the West Point heap to the bottom of the Army totem pole!

My graduation ceremony in the rain at West Point 2001.  Ironic...they say that when it rains on your West Point Acceptance Day Parade and when it rains on your Graduation, your class is going to war.  It rained on both for the Class of 2001!

I still have some pictures from my high school graduation, but at this time, I'm not posting them here (I lost 30 pounds during my Cadet Basic Training!).  :)
